Kelty Shade Maker braved the wind Nags Head

I've been using folding beach awnings for many years and the wind has blown them apart every year. I wanted something big and flexible that could stand up to the beach wind without weighing a ton. Kelty Shade Maker Large did it. I'm writing this review after spending a week in Nags Head, North Carolina. I will say that I used 4 brackets (all corners) that attach to the sand drills that I also bought. (Necessary in windy beach conditions) It buckled in the wind and didn't break. Provides shade for 7 of us and all our belongings. It looks really cool and I have a lot of extras. The canopy was drilled with wind gusts up to 25 mph and every seam and rod held up. It required 2 people to set up, but that's to be expected from a 11 x 13 shelter. Only 14 pounds, easy to transport and carry to and from the beach.
