We needed a gate in the cabin to separate the living room from the bedroom without closing the door. I want to keep dogs out of the bedroom until bedtime, but I still need airflow throughout the cabin. This gate allows me to divide the space and close the door when needed without drama. It's wide enough to create a slight curve in the doorway, allowing room to maneuver. It attaches directly to the wall with screws at both ends rather than as a clamp mount. This is a short gate so large dogs can easily climb over it if they lean like that. The door opens to the side with the block inserted and is easy to open. The whole gate is very light so it needs to be fixed properly - a simple shake will knock it over. In general I like it and it meets my needs.
