These squares are excellent in fit, finish and performance, but are not designed for precision finishing work. For that kind of cost they should have been near perfect on a pitch. Unfortunately it isn't. They're as square as the $10 at Home Depot. In fact, the $12.97 square 8-inch Empire True Blue is better than the 7-inch iGaging. In the attached image I drew a line, then flipped the square and drew another line, doing this twice for each square. You can see how wide the iGaging squares are and how they compare to others. Left to right: Woodpeckers 1281, 851, 641, Empire True Blue 8" Speed Square, Empire 7", iGaging 7", iGaging 4", and Milwaukee 4-1/2" Speed Square .Woodpeckers are present and for the price they are better. Finally, the holes in the scale that allow a parallel line to be drawn to the edge of the panel are not drilled in the center of the relevant mark.As long as the line is parallel to the edge ", this isn't the distance it should be. It's not a big deal when you know you have to stay out of the line when cutting. Overall I'm not happy with this set for the price and would like to get it before the end of the Use return policy but it looks good.
