Review on πŸ›οΈ French Natural Linen Bedding Set: Ultra Soft Stone Washed Sheets - 4 Piece Queen Size in Caramel by Julie Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far so good in sheets and pillowcases

As this is my first foray into 100% linen bedding I was a little hesitant to accept the $250 price tag I saw and was also reluctant to buy anything - for $100 less, knowing I can sacrifice the things that make quality linen bedding appealing. I bought this set based on the color, price and reviews. At first I was prepared that the sheets would be scratchy/hard so I washed them in cold/delicate bags inside the clothes and then tumble dried them on delicate/low heat without heat. like they weren't comfortable compared to my neck and the sheet seemed designed for a thicker mattress (mine is only 12 inches) so I couldn't pull/tuck everything tight enough to 100% smooth out wrinkles. However, I don't care that my sheets don't look ironed because. Who will see her when the bed is made? If wrinkles in fabrics don't result in uncomfortable creases that irritate your skin, what's wrong with that? In fact, sleeping on the sheets last night was surprisingly comfortable! They were comfortable, and while they didn't feel cool, they didn't seem to lock in any heat and I didn't wake up sweaty. It was only night 1 so we'll see how it plays out over time and I'll update the review over time. As for the color, at first it didn't seem as rich/bright as I had imagined; It's a little more brown and a little less vibrant orange and is generally less saturated than it looks in the photos and I'm not thrilled with how it looks on its own but one day I'll have my bed in my blues, greens and I like the hardware done in black. Against the background of other colors, it looks brighter and more beautiful. The first wash (delicate detergent, cold water, no other chemicals) didn't shed. Let's see how it shows up over time. Overall, I'm still not sure these sheets are good enough to justify the price premium over long staple cotton percale, but I'll look for an update once they're used. a little longer
