The polarized GE plug really works and fits snugly into the lamp socket. For some reason they are not sold in any of our local hardware stores. I bought something similar at a hardware store and wasn't happy with the design at the time, but it was all I could get and all hardware stores had the same thing. Well after some use it didn't really work because the wind blew the cord away and the light stopped working because it didn't fit properly. Needless to say I am happy with this product as it fits snugly. Plug and everything works.
