Ideal for outdoor Christmas lights

Sometimes you just need an extra plug. They are great for connecting outdoor Christmas lights to our porch lights so we can turn them on and off with the indoor wall switch.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Reliability

It is great.

This cool little device is great. When traveling to a remote destination, I never know if I'll have an available outlet. If they have lamps I don't have to worry about electricity. Just remove the bulb (when you don't need a light) and put it in its place and you'll have instant access to charge your phones or whatever else you need.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • High price

Finally a solution!

My patio doesn't have a drain. I had to pull the wire through the screen door and the sliding door into the living room, which left a small gap, very inconvenient in the cold. I plugged the cord into this handy GE outlet and installed it in the lamp socket. It worked. Finally a solution to my little problem. Now I can just use the light switch in my living room 😎

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Just what I needed to transform an old downlight into something I don't hate

These fittings were perfect for converting a chunky old ceiling light into a range of pendant lights. I wanted a "vintage" look and the visible plastic they are made of matches the vintage plugs I found exactly. They also fit the plugs really well so I'm not worried about a bulb hanging straight out of the socket. on them and see where else I could use them.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There's nuance

Don't waste money. You are not working.

I bought this to put up a Christmas garland outside where I don't have sockets but a few spotlights. I tested them inside and out with various things (garland, lamp, phone charger, etc.) and nothing worked. I screwed it all the way into the outlet and made sure the switch was on. I checked everything at a regular outlet to make sure it wasn't just my garland and that everything was working properly. However, nothing works when connected to these adapters. They are completely useless.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost never

The handy polarized GE plug really works!

The polarized GE plug really works and fits snugly into the lamp socket. For some reason they are not sold in any of our local hardware stores. I bought something similar at a hardware store and wasn't happy with the design at the time, but it was all I could get and all hardware stores had the same thing. Well after some use it didn't really work because the wind blew the cord away and the light stopped working because it didn't fit properly. Needless to say I am happy with this product as it…

Where have you been all my life?

Sometimes silly simple products make life a little better. This is one of those products. Being able to convert a standard screw terminal incandescent bulb into an LED shop light or other low-power device is a nice quick way to power devices without having to run extension cords or permanent wiring (especially in older homes that have may not have easily accessible outlets). in all corners of the room). I have used this product to replace existing overhead lights in both my garage and basement…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Perfect adapter, not very Description (quantity)

Adapter purchased to update outbuilding lights. Rather than converting all lighting outlets to standard outlets, I purchased these to connect newly installed store fixtures using standard two prong cords. I read the product name "2 packs, 2 each", saw the price and bought 3 pack, assuming I would get 12 adapters in total. I was thinking of 2 packs and multiple packs of 2 each which would mean there are 4 items/adapters in one order. I received half as many adapters as I expected. I would keep…

Practical two-pin adapter for lamp socket

Just screwed into the socket. Provides a two prong socket - perfect for some things but not suitable for three prong (grounded) items. In fact, I couldn't find a grounded outlet to screw into the outlet. If you're thinking of wiring the lamp socket, a ground wire could be attached to the housing, but there's no place to connect the green ground wire to the socket itself. In many cases, you only have the options of gold screw (black wire) and silver screw (white wire). Several supposed "experts"
