Review on Linon Kitchen Island Granite Top Furniture by Abby Libbett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looking good if you can finally get it to work.

Bought to feed my cats. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and couldn't afford a lot of space. The first problem was that there was a small burn mark on the granite slab. However, since I was using it as a cat feeder, I had no intention of trading it. I will say this wasn't my first rodeo trying to put something like this together so I pretty much knew what to expect in terms of cryptic hieroglyphs for instructions etc. However, it took over 3 hours to assemble (at least at least 2 hours more than it should have been). The first problem was that one of the parts had holes that were too small for the hardware. So I had to use something to carve the wood to make it big enough. The next problem was that the instructions weren't clear which way the pieces should face from the top, so I had to take those pieces apart and put them back together. It's pretty solid, but it would be nice to have real allen wrenches with a more ergonomic grip. Also, if you overtighten, you can easily split the wood. I'll probably order another one for my beta tank. But I will definitely plan a lot more time for assembly. If you can do without assembly, this is decent and inexpensive storage for small spaces.

Pros
  • understandable for old people
Cons
  • For pensioners
