I bought a pair because I didn't want one bulb to be brighter than the other. However when I installed it on my 2014 F-150 it matched the light from the OEM side. So now I have an extra bulb, but a pair was still a lot cheaper than a single bulb from the local parts store. Installation was agonizing (watch the YouTube video tutorial a few times), but that's not the bulb's fault. I found it easier to just remove the entire headlight assembly so I could work on it on a workbench. Connecting the connector after the replacement was the hardest task for me.
