These leather moccasins are great for toting mail or stowage. When it comes to shoes, I'm not used to such cool shoes. I wore them with shorts and no socks, they still looked great. point size. So it took about 10 good mistakes before it broke enough to slip through without hands. After that, sailing went smoothly. Good with/without socks. On the outside my ankles are low due to sprains and fractures so the outside ankle is cut a little higher and rubs the ground. I grabbed the insole and it gave me enough height to get through. Again, my ankles are different so most people shouldn't have a problem. If so, I recommend the insole route. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a fancy pair of non-slip shoes.
