Wow, that wasn't what I expected but a lot more. They appear to be tiny pearls but expand to the size of a pearl or larger pearls. They feel great and are not slimy. I wasn't expecting the container to be so small, but just a teaspoon of these beads makes a full bowl. I'm sure if you use the whole bottle it would fill the entire tub. I bought these as a Christmas present for my eleven year old son and was disappointed that the container was so small my son then pretended it wasn't a problem and put these tiny beads in a bowl and they quickly expanded. Ideal for teaching osmosis if the teacher or you have kids interested in science. Warm water causes these balls to expand faster than cold water.
