Great warm white light!

These lights have really transformed my living room. I used 3000k warm white lights which are great and dim well. Regarding the respective crucibles: Despite the short and impractical instructions, they can also be installed relatively easily in the respective crucible. I installed them in the ceiling with access to the attic above. If you don't have a loft above the ceiling and you don't have trusses for joists, you will find it very difficult to tie each light fixture together. For installation, I simply marked the holes in the ceiling with a laser and then lined them up with string. I used a nail finder and checked the ceiling joists for where the light goes; I have to move two lights and an inch so the glass and brackets don't hit the ceiling joist. I then drilled the holes with a 4-1/2" hole saw. A unique feature of these lamps is that the electrical box is separate from the box. So I just put the jars in from the living room and then the electrical boxes in the attic attached. after I connected them. This was useful because I didn't have to connect them up the stairs or in the cramped attic. Wiring is easy, I stripped 1/2" of wire from hot and neutral and they snapped right into the terminal on, no zip tie needed which saves alot of time. The insulation in my attic was cracking so I threw all the insulation back after making sure the lights were working.I installed a separate dimmer (type below). The hole has 2" diameter, but the paper outline of the jars has a 4-3/16" diameter hole. I used a 4-1/2" hole saw, but you can use a 4-1/4" hole saw get by 4-1/2" just gives more room to attach the clips (the clip part needs space between the drywall and the glass. Highly recommend a dimmer, they are bright at full wattage. I have used the following dimmer which works well : Lutron SCL-153P-WH -DO NOT saw or cut holes until you are sure that the ceiling joists are not obstructing the vessel's entry -I have a 1950's house, the vessels were fitted to a 1" with no problems thick ceiling installed. The electrical box attached to each glass has many 1/2" knockout holes and one 3/4" knockout hole. I used a 3/4" knockout hole to run two wires in 5 lights to run 1 wire in 1 bulb.
