I only used them for one night but that was enough to show they worked which was good. The remote control works well and the two light levels are well matched. The flicker is subtle, not to say minimal as others have said, but I didn't care because I would only use them on the 'Light' setting, ie no flicker. What I particularly liked was the very good light quality - a rather yellowish glow in both light intensities. Obviously I don't know anything about the battery life yet, and I haven't used the timer function (which I don't intend to use), so 3 stars simply because the rating system doesn't offer a "Not Applicable" rating. I placed them in tall plastic votive holders that fit perfectly and greatly enhance their impact as they allow the light to shine over a greater vertical length. They can be used alone but I think a votive holder would make them better. All on/off is easy to use. I like her.
