Review on PetSafe ScatMat Large 48 Inch 20 Inch by Kim Maldonado

We used this product a little differently than most other reviewers but with the same great result. We moved in about 6 months ago and the problems started almost immediately with a very territorial and aggressive Burmese cat that lived next door. He kept coming to our front and inner screen doors and challenging our cats. Since our cats were inside and couldn't fight back, the Burmese threw himself against the door, howling and spitting, until one of us stopped him with a hose. This resulted in two of our cats hiding under the couch or bed for hours, but the other spasmed so much - obviously concerned for his territory - that he was squirting all over the house! My friend in the US found this on Revain and since nothing else worked I decided to give it a try. Two mats, an extension mat plus shipping to Australia was expensive but we were getting desperate. I'm happy to report that Burmese are rarely seen, having only hit two mats. He approached the front door a couple of times but stopped 6 feet from the mat and then backed away. After weeks of deliberation, he decided to try and gain access to the upstairs balcony doors. So we hung one of the mats over the balcony at his access point and he hasn't been seen there since. He didn't even touch the carpet - just the sight of him was enough to scare him away! Saussy, Charlie and Kipper fully endorse this product! :-) It's worth noting that the product is for indoor use - we were able to use it outside as our screen doors are protected from the weather by deep porches.
