Material "spills" water/liquids/cat puke. Which is important in a tiny house with 4 cats indoors. We also have this lovely brown/green plastic tarp that we leave uncovered over the bed to protect it from cat pee, a very random note left by our kittens. Well, just a pee means throwing away the whole kit and going to the outdoor cats we rescued and, well, things happen of course. I love nice linens even under a stupid tarp. The size is good, I like big bedspreads over small bedspreads, and for a queen bed this comforter is perfect. Very nice and warm downstairs (all our warmth comes from the walk-through fireplace on the other side of our yurt). We live in downtown Oregon. Very cold winters. Very short summer. and i like red.
