Funny version of the standard skate signs

These are your standard two-piece skate signs and nothing special. I've been using them in a variety of colors since I first started skating in the mid 1990's. I love the color changing feature of these boards, although I sometimes forget that after a few sessions they will be a different color than when I put them on the boards for the first time each day! They're fairly easy to cut and assemble once you get used to the process (I recommend a sharp, heavy knife to cut them to size, showing the end of the spring that the screws go through for protection ), and so far they've held up pretty well. If you ice dance with blades on skates, note that you will need to trim one side of these shields to fit the shorter end. to use with your skates - otherwise the long side will bump against the heel of your boot and not stay in place or hang over the toe making it difficult to walk in the pads. Synchro skaters with synchronized blades will also run into this problem - anything with a heel that short means these protectors need a bit of modification (quite quick and easy with a sharp knife). While the new Rockerz shields are hugely popular, they've worked. Ice dance blades work best for me and I will be using them for years to come!
