The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I bought it for fishing but that's a problem for me. In my case to place it directly on top of an open aquarium the brackets pop out to fit but they just keep sliding and the light can be easily nudged or moved causing the brackets to pop out further which can cause them to go completely unplug and throw the light strip into the aquarium. I think this can be seen as a disadvantage as it doesn't stop the clips from slipping out, but for some this may be an advantage as they may want to use the lightstrip without the clips and appreciate the ease of removal. great if you already have a flat mesh or glass lid. My aquarium hood did not fit the light bar. The LEDs are very bright! Glossy white with some red and blue colors and another option changes it to something that looks like blue light but it activates the neon colors in my fish pebbles/decor like black light.
