The straw attachment is the biggest shortcoming of this drinking bottle. It takes in so much air. I had to research how to put the nozzle on the straw thinking I was wrong as I drink more air than water but I got everything right. And apparently this is a problem for others as well. I even asked my husband to use brute force if I didn't push hard enough, but it didn't work. We ended up just removing the nozzle and leaving the straw in the bottle. I have to fish out the straw every time, otherwise we leave the straw behind completely. If you want to fill it up in the morning and put it in a smaller bottle to keep track of how much water you're drinking throughout the day, I'd say this is perfect for you, but if you want to carry it with you throughout the day Drinking from it all day, the straw is really a nuisance and it's really big to lug around all day.
