Review on SmartFit Radiator Adaptor Set by Redline Detection: 95-0750 by Bogdan Swizzle

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large universal adapter kit for checking the coolant radiator. It is not possible to test radiator caps unless you get a third party adapter.

Once you understand how to use it, it will be pretty neat and useful. The only thing to worry about is using it on plastic spill tanks, as they usually become brittle from the heat of the engine and can crack if you overtighten one of these adapters at the hole. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I see the possibility. The price is a bit high in my opinion for the materials needed for this set. I don't see it costing less than $15, but Revain's current price is $100 and the manufacturer's website is $130. For me, that's too high a premium. I think a fair and reasonable price would be somewhere between $60-$70. Also can't test the radiator caps as there is no radiator cap adapter which I think should be included in every coolant leak test kit. For example, if the radiator was a light color like blue, red, or yellow, it would be better since you won't lose the rubber parts. The color is black, so it's easy to lose and hard to find if it falls down somewhere. For what it's intended for, I think it's great and I rate it highly. If only the price would go down a bit this would be a 5 star product.
