Using a battery tender is a great way to maintain car batteries and protect them from premature failure. You can of course use the standard "clip" type accessory to secure the battery tender, but most of the time you use it because you have a vehicle that is not used on a daily basis. That's why the battery discharges in the first place. Using the ring terminal accessory makes it easy to connect the tender for use. He stays in the vehicle while Tender stays at home. Open the hood (or the battery compartment) and simply connect the mating connectors. That's it, the battery is ready for charging. Don't worry if the clips make good contact or maybe even fall off! I've used them on many cars over the years and I just haven't found a better way to use your battery tender consistently and easily, which helps to remember (or be hasty) to keep your batteries charged and live long.
