Review on Wilkinson Sword Double Edge Razor for Men: 5 Refillable Blades for a Superior Shave by Max Stallworth

Haven't used a safety razor since the 80's but nostalgic for the experience ordered one based on the overall positive reviews and great price. The included blades are very sharp and give a very close shave - much closer than any 'modern' multi-blade razor I've used in the last 20 years. If you're like me and this is your first (or first in a long time) experience with safety razors, here's a few things to keep in mind: Don't rush to shave. Modern multi-blade razors are so scratch and cut resistant that I've gotten used to a quick shave in the shower without even looking. I tried this razor for the first time and I got all sorts of little scratches and cuts. Then I realized that this is a different kind of experience. Take your time with gentle, slow shaving strokes. Experiment with the angle and use a light touch. It took me 3 or 4 shaves to get the technique right, but when I did it was a surprisingly close shave. I can honestly say that I have never felt a shave so close and my skin has never felt so smooth after a shave. I am definitely happy with the purchase.
