To my ears, at least, the nanotube pins that the flexible eartips are attached to are too short to penetrate the ear canal far enough to deliver the headphones' full frequency range place. Drivers need to be heard. The result, to me at least, was a very thin and tinny (no pun intended) sound. The design of the on-ear headphones is also a bit awkward, which often causes the headphones to fall out during normal movement. It's nearly impossible to plug and unplug the left and right plugs into and out of the headphones, and since the plugs aren't the color to match the red and green rings on the headphones, it's impossible to tell if you have one true L/ R stereo sound stage.
