We used this as a replacement for our magnetic door screen after painting the door frame. The surface was properly cleaned and dried before application. It went on very easily and seemed strong at first. After a couple of months of minor use (using the screen door, the screen itself was never removed), the strip started pulling off at the center top. It became unusable after another week.I removed the strip again and replaced it with a fresh piece. I went ahead and stapled it in place using 1/2" heavy-duty staples.unfortunately, this was not anywhere as good as the strips that came with our magnetic screen door. It might be fine for applications where there is no pulling or weight, but I can't say how long it will stick. I'd plan on stapling it in place or adding superglue where you notice 9it pulling away.
