I've spent hours reading reviews. I've asked myself a thousand times. I sat in an uncomfortable chair for several months because I just couldn't make up my mind. The backrest is the best thing about this chair! This is the most important part of this whole thing. I can lean back a bit while working and the support is great. I solved the problem with the bar under my knees by elevating my legs with a pillow. Apparently my legs were too short. In general, my constant complaint about roller skates. They roll too easily and it draws attention to how uneven my floor is. To be clear, this is an unfounded complaint for two reasons: 1) they give you a second set of wheels but we didn't discover them until after we put the first one on, and 2) they question my gender. I'm 5'5" and about 145 pounds, in case that matters to anyone else. I think this is a fantastic chair!
