Review on Enhance Productivity with CKL HDMI KVM 2 Port 4K 30Hz Dual Monitor Extended Display (CKL-922HUA) by Adam Rogers

I bought this device as I am starting my career working from home. So I have a desktop and now a company laptop. My home computer has 2 monitors and I wanted to use them with my company laptop. The price of this device fits my budget so I decided to give it a try. I've been reading some recent reviews of proprietary cables that are only about 5 feet long, so I've rearranged some things. After I connected all the cables, everything worked. But here are a few things I didn't think of before putting everything together. My laptop dock has an HDMI output and a mini display port output. My desktop video card has 2 DVI outputs and one HDMI output. For dual monitors to work, you need to connect 2 display output ports to your computer. So I had to order 1 DVI HDMI adapter and a Mini Displayport HDMI adapter. When these parts arrived I was ready to go in no time. I have a Logitech G910 keyboard and a Logitech G600 mouse. To get them working I had to plug a USB hub into the front of the KVM switch and plug these two devices into the hub. All in all I am satisfied with the result. I know I have a home computer and a company laptop with two monitors and a keyboard and mouse. Since I'm using a USB hub with a keyboard and mouse, the hotkeys to switch between my home computer and laptop don't work, nor can I turn off the beep when using the keys to switch. Slight irritation. I wish there was a button to turn off the beep. Advantages. Once you connect everything according to the instructions on the product page on Amazon. You should be good to go. It really only took me about 5 minutes to put everything together. Cons: If you have a dedicated keyboard and/or mouse, you will need to use a USB hub. The Logitech software keeps crashing every time I switch from my home computer to my laptop and back again. There is no button to turn off the beep when switching between devices.
