I have diabetes so I'm trying to keep my carbs low to keep my blood sugar under control. In the past I have followed a low carb diet to lose weight but it has never worked for me. Once I've lost a little weight, someone will compliment me and then I'll feel justified in going off the diet and putting it back on. I barely weighed myself this time and was just concentrating on my blood sugar, so I was a little surprised when I went to the doctor last week and found I'd lost 40 pounds in the last 10 weeks. These bars aren't the best food, but they taste good and are incredibly convenient when I don't have time to prepare a proper meal. They helped me get through turbulent times as I tried to get my four sons to where they needed to be on time. So I'm not rating these 5 stars for weight loss or taste, but I'm giving them 5 stars for being convenient and good for my diabetes. I don't care if I lose weight and look better (although that's not a bad thing), but I want to live longer and be closer to my sons, and these bars are helping me achieve that goal.
