A few of my herbs came up, but not enough to follow with my eyes! I am very impressed so far. Surprisingly easy to clean. Whatever you use, you have to scrape the tea off with your finger. I stuck my finger in and in a few seconds it was ready to wash. Also washes out quickly and easily. Putting the bottom on was easy, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets more difficult after a few uses. The time will show.
