Can't believe it worked

Didn't think the booster would work. After ordering it, I started looking for other expensive solutions like HDMI over Ethernet, suspecting the amp ratings were fake. I have a 49" 4K TV mounted on the wall. I ran about 40 feet of HDMI cable through the walls and ceiling from my Windows 10 PC to my TV. I used a 100 foot HDMI cable, which I found in a trash can in our business center. One end of the cable was missing a connector, so I shortened the cable to 40 feet, routed it through the walls, and soldered a new HDMI connector. At first it seemed to work, but after a few hours i found that it was unreliable even at 1080p. the screen just went black during use and the only way to get it back was to turn the computer off and on again. the manual for the amp says, that the amplifier removes digital noise and eliminates sparks. My problem was not the quality, but the complete failure of the picture. The manual recommends mounting the amplifier closer to the TV, but I wanted to couldn't remove the TV from the wall, so I ran a new 1.5ft HDMI 2.0 cable from the computer. to the input of the booster and then my chopped HDMI cable to the output of the booster. I didn't bother to add an extra USB port. To my great surprise, it worked. I set the screen resolution to 4K and started watching 4K videos. This used to turn off the monitor immediately. However, with the help of the booster, I watched 4K videos and multitasked other apps with no hiccups. It's only been a few hours so I can't speak to long-term reliability. The booster is made in China, the case is plastic, it heats up during operation, but only a little. The booster has a blue LED that lights up when the computer is on. It came with a micro USB cable for extra power but I see no point in using it as it no longer freezes and the picture quality looks stunning. The USB cable doesn't have an outlet, so I'm assuming you'll need to plug it into a USB port on your TV or computer. There is no lag, which is great for a computer. I also tried the wireless HDMI solution which was expensive but had a good picture. However, the wireless solution had a delay of at least 1 second, which made using the mouse and keyboard tedious. In conclusion, I recommend trying it. There are a lot of variables and I'm sure not everyone will like it, but it's not very expensive and you can always return it.
