The top brackets are strong and will hold the heavy curtains I was trying to hang. The installation should be quite simple and not take much longer. half an hour. However, the hole at the top of the bracket was mis-threaded and did not fit the screw. This would have worked fine if I screwed it under the bracket instead of at the top, but the movement of the curtain rod caused by the moving curtain would likely loosen the screw and cause the curtain rod to fall off. After spending too much time fixing the error, I gave up and threw the whole mess in the trash as useless. The return period has expired so I wasted my time and money on a defective product. I will not order it as a replacement.
