Does what I need but there was no clear information on some aspects of the watch and some of the features we specifically bought the watch for were disappointing . This was bought for our 8 year old after we moved to a new area where he had a lot more freedom of movement. We wanted to be able to communicate with him, but we didn't want him to have a cell phone just yet. I like that it has messaging and face call capabilities, as well as the ability to control who it can call. However, for someone to actually send or resume video calls or messages from the watch, they have to do it entirely through the app, which is almost impossible without the watch in place. The watch is highly app dependent and many features need to be used over Wi-Fi. We had issues with it not immediately connecting to previously launched Wi-Fi networks. The messaging function is also a bit disappointing. There is minimal communication, which can be done using preset functions. I'd like to give him complete freedom to message, as I have to consent to everyone he can message to get started. Text messaging is completely disabled on the watch. There is no way to enable it. The GPS locator works well enough to give you a rough idea of where your child is, but it's not accurate. When my son was with my mother, he sometimes incorrectly indicated that he was at the address next door. Or if it was at our nearest neighbor's, it was shown at home. When the watch is charged at home, it often turns out to be in a big box behind our house.
