Cheap materials and workmanship
I bought this wiper gear to replace an old broken one on my used 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS (5.3L). While the actual connections appear solid, the threads on the struts connecting the wipers come loose easily. I used a die to rethread both pins and both have been cleaned TWICE, even with more washers to prevent the nut from going too far into the threads. I've come to the conclusion that the metal used for the pins is very weak because the threads break so easily. I do not recommend this wiper brand.
