I bought this player to burn music onto CDs and let my family listen to Christmas records in the room we were in, rather than listening to stereo sound from around the house. When I bought it in late 2015 it worked well and played records smoothly with no issues. When I re-released it in July 2018, I tried using it to transfer music to CDs: it worked fine for the first 10 or so 45s. After this, the turntable began pounding near the end of the song and continued until the needle returned to its base; You can hear that beat in the recordings I originally made. It became so noticeable that a few 45 seconds were skipped near the end of the songs. Then the arrow began to slip from the beginning of the next records, so I stopped using this garbage. Based on the time gap between the first time I used this player and the last time I used it, I can easily say that it lasted a month at most. I looked under the turntable to see if anything was interfering and causing bumps and jumps/slips, but found nothing. When I was looking for a new turntable I didn't even look at Jensen: they used to make decent units, but they've changed. This junk player proves it. While it's not the most expensive turntable, don't waste your money on it.
