Love, love, love this *little* strainer. It's the perfect size for washing up a pint of berries or a handful or two of broccoli, or draining half a pack of pasta or a can of chickpeas. It's very small - about 6.5 inches in diameter at the top (including the rim) and about 3.25 inches tall including the little feet. In terms of volume/capacity, it comfortably holds about 3 cups of blueberries with little room to neatly tumble them under the running water. I think a wire base/legs is the best design for a colander as it doesn't get in the way of water drainage and food. Particles do not get stuck (so very easy to clean). If I were to suggest making changes to the design, the legs could be a little longer so there's a little more room (currently about 1/4 inch) between the bottom of the basket and what it's standing on to allow for "airflow" to improve. and could therefore be used as a steam basket. The holes are a little big for raspberry puree, but great for washing and drying. Very very happy with this purchase.
