This is a normal device. I am currently having trouble disabling the eSATA connection (reason to purchase). USB recognizes both drives and mounts correctly on Linux, OS X and Windows. I'm pretty sure there is loose solder on the eSATA connector (I'll take it apart and check later). Solid construction, USB works, eSATA consists of TWO separate ports (and port 2 is intermittent).
