Great cart but poor quality pepper shakers

This is a very well built cart but the salt and pepper shakers are broken. Pros: Well made of stainless steel, plenty of storage space, very durable. It's just very well designed and built. Cons: Salt and pepper shakers have such incredibly cheap and poorly designed tops. There are cheap plastic buttons that you push and the shakers open. One broke and the other apparently won't last long. It didn't help and broke after a few uses. You can see in the picture that the knobs are in the down (broken) position but the dispensers are not open. It's a little tedious, but I suppose you can "tinker" with it every time (but opening the shaker tabs like the knobs will soon be broken). For the price, we didn't want to mess with cheap shakers. The Caddy is good enough to think about buying your own shakers. The problem is that the container has small round metal holders for shakers and none of the shakers we found suitable. Two more small "nits": a bit too small. 2. The rotation resistance of the cart is surprisingly high. With ball bearings it should spin much easier. Bottom line - if you can live without a shaker or have your own that fits - otherwise it's a good car. But for the price, it's a little hard to miss. Given the work they have put into the caddies, all they have to do is put a little effort into the simple standard shakers and they will succeed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions
