I suggest when you first open the package, press down to push out all the air, and then fold the excess (empty) part of the package and secure with tape to keep it folded tight. This prevents too much air from entering the packaging and the wipes drying out faster. 2) This is a matter of personal preference, but the smell let me down. I used the original daily facial wipes and they had a pretty fresh clean smell; it is something different. Not uncomfortable, just not that comfortable.
