This test is based on an Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition laptop and a 4K 60Hz monitor. I am using this dock to expand my new gaming laptop (Asus Rog Strix G513QY) into a workstation. Several USB peripherals, an Ethernet cable and a 4K monitor are connected to the docking station via HDMI. I've noticed a strange input lag on a 4K monitor through this dock. The display has a resolution of 4K 60Hz, but as soon as I drag a large window onto the screen, you notice a significant input lag. FPS games are even worse, downright unplayable. This is not observed when simply moving the cursor. It looks like the lag only occurs when most of the screen needs to be refreshed. This may not be visible to an office workload or may not occur at other screen resolutions, but it doesn't work for my specific use cases and it may not work for you. I've tried another dock that doesn't have this issue, so the problem isn't with the monitor, cable, or laptop.
