Works best in internal components

Computer chip machined to be flat but under the microscope, it's not as flat as it could be. The jagged edges trap air and prevent two metal surfaces from moving smoothly together. This heatsink compound fills those cavities where air would otherwise be trapped and allows for greater heat transfer from the computer chip to the heatsink, thus lowering the processor temperature and extending the life of the computer chip. Just as heat in a car engine can shorten the life of that engine by trapping heat in a computer chip, a heat sink can shorten the life of a computer chip. In over 30 years of using different compounds, some are actually better than others, but this one is in the range of some of the best selling for a lot more. I give them away when I sell old radiators that I no longer need to help someone else.
