I bought this lighter in November 2018. When I got it I charged it and it worked straight away and I thought it was a cool little tool. For 2.5 years it turned out that this is not the case. It went from sparking (brighter side) and glowing (torch side) after the first charge to being put away for a few months and then never sparking or glowing again. Since then I've tried charging and using it intermittently, most recently today. The red charging light came on today when I plugged it in, but the cigarette lighter just felt warm/hot and didn't even pretend to work. As has been done every time since. It's a piece of junk novelty. I wouldn't rely on this thing to light a candle in my house or start a fire in my yard, let alone go camping with it or rely on it in an emergency. Do yourself a favor and buy some matches instead.
