Review on Super Antenna MP1C Radio Portable by Radney Taala

I live in an apartment and used to have a Radiowavs 20m Double Bazooka inverted V which I got lucky with until it got wet. Keep in mind this is the only other antenna I have to compare against as I'm relatively new to this hobby. Also, please note that I live on a hill about 100 feet above average terrain. It's only been 48 hours and we're in the middle of cycle 25, but I'm very impressed with the MP1-C. Managed to lock onto 40m in less than 5 minutes with an SWR of 1.5. The FG-1 isn't exact but it gives you between 2-3:1 and then you can fine tune it. Compared to my old antenna I get less DX but a lot more contacts in general. It certainly could have been the result of a different band than I'm used to. The last comparison will be on 20m, which I want to try soon. All in all I am very happy with my purchase so far. The accessories for this antenna are overpriced, but that's probably because the antenna is so cheap. I work mostly on FT8 and made about 50 contacts in the first two weeks on 17, 20, 30 and 40 meters with 100 watts from Tennessee. DX including Colombia, Brazil, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Panama, Spain, Argentina. Even Fiji with more than 7000 miles at 17 m! Of course, the higher the frequency, the better the performance of this antenna, but I'm actually very impressed with its performance at 40m.
