bags don't close as well as food bags and sometimes we need to use a different bag. Even if they seem to seal well at first, the food often gets covered in frost and the bag no longer fits the food snugly, which is to be expected after several weeks in the freezer. The last failure was sealing hot dogs. in a pack of the same size so you can censure the food. The bags work as a replacement for ziplock bags for a short time, but not for freezer storage.
