It's soft, but very cheap. "Faux Fur" is so thin. It's like a thread, not a fur. You can see the stitching as in the picture. I also wanted to give it as a gift, but since it came in transparent packaging, it can't be a gift. It doesn't even have a brand name, the word "quilt" or anything else. When I saw this ad and heard about faux fur I thought it was a nice faux fur throw but you can put a comforter inside which means a duvet cover. But it was disappointing in almost every way. I do not recommend. I'll order a more expensive one soon. You get what you pay for and at this price it was too good to be true! I'm shocked that so many people have written good reviews
