Scissors good, as sharp as possible. What is the problem then? Well to be honest I don't like them for quilting. I think they would be great for cutting clothes, but not for the small task typically done in quilting. . In quilting you cut ends/points/etc, but not necessarily long ways, and that's where they'll be amazing - those "journey" cutting events, ie cutting clothes. For quick cuts etc, they're hard to unlock (I never leave the scissors open), notch them, then press the forward button to lock (close) them again. A pair of straight scissors will do the trick and these guys will be great when it comes to trimming your blouse/pants/etc. to crop.
