This flashlight is easy to use - one button with three settings: high, low and flash. The high setting is fairly bright and is good for daytime driving when you want to be more visible to cars. After dark, low settings appear bright enough to save battery life. The flash setting is too distracting to use for anything other than attention/help. The light casts a fairly small beam, just enough to illuminate the path or path in front of you, and then there's a much larger and dimmer overflow illuminating the periphery. Honestly, that's exactly what you want. You can clearly see where you are moving and see your surroundings a little without distraction. It gives off a nice white light. Being rechargeable is a great option for the home, no need to use batteries, you can just plug in the light and be ready to go again. It wouldn't be so good for long trips where you don't have an easy way to charge, although you can use a power bank or car adapter. It took longer than I expected to charge, but the colored LED ring changes color to let you know when it's done. it will endure. It's also easy to detach from the mount, which is nice to take with you for charging, but also handy when you're cycling somewhere and want to detach it and use it as a flashlight. It's great for that and makes a better flashlight than your phone. If I was to be picky, the mount is pretty cheap, the beam isn't adjustable, I don't think there's a low battery indicator to keep you from running out of lights mid-ride. However, at this price point, this light is all you need.
