Bought this ramp for my miniature dachshund (5kg) to allow her to sit on and off the couch. I thought it might give my dog a little more traction than carpeted ramps. It didn't take long for him to teach him how to go up the ramp and he uses it regularly now, although he still seems to be a bit more careful going down. The ramp itself is pretty sturdy and easily supports my small dogs; I'm not afraid it will fall apart. However, it's only cared for when it's "attached" to a couch (that is, a cushioned couch) so I have to check every few days to make sure it hasn't been pushed too far to the edge of the couch where it might be possible to slip away.
