Description of ๐Ÿพ Lightweight and Portable Bi-Fold Ramp for Cats and Dogs by Pet Gear - Includes Safety Tether, Rubber Grippers for Stability

Slip-resistant surface provide sure footing, not suitable for rear of vehicle loading as the angle of the ramp will be too steep for the pet. Easy fold for compact storage. Built in handle for portability. Rubber grippers on bottom help keep ramp steady. Measures 42 x 16 x 4-inches; excellent for use in heights up to 20-inches.

Not enough support for my big dog

The ramp is strong enough for my bramble but can't get enough support to use it alone. She slipped on the first try. It has a rough, sandpaper-like surface that surprises me. I can push her. I'll add a few strips of some material to see if that helps (plastic strips or a soft rubber pad). I bought a shorter ramp and maybe it's too steep (11-12" incline?). But if it was a "dirty" hill or something, it wouldn't look cool to the dog at all. She's just coming off Barber so I don't find her nailsโ€ฆ

Sturdy ramp, good for my small dogs

Bought this ramp for my miniature dachshund (5kg) to allow her to sit on and off the couch. I thought it might give my dog a little more traction than carpeted ramps. It didn't take long for him to teach him how to go up the ramp and he uses it regularly now, although he still seems to be a bit more careful going down. The ramp itself is pretty sturdy and easily supports my small dogs; I'm not afraid it will fall apart. However, it's only cared for when it's "attached" to a couch (that is, aโ€ฆ

Great for my older dog

I have a small dog (about 15 pounds) that has joint problems and can no longer get in and out of the car. She hates being picked up so this was the perfect solution. It took a while to get her up and down the ramp (and she's generally a smart dog), so I can see where some of you are having trouble. We ended up placing treats every few inches along the ramp to lure them up the ramp. We had to repeat this exercise for several days before she mastered it. We also found it convenient to use as aโ€ฆ

Great for older pets

I have two older Chihuahuas (14 and 12 in this email) who are still very "alive" (don't worry if they use that word to describe you! ), but have difficulty jumping. I have looked at many ramps on PetSmart and online and this seems to be the best value for money. It turned out to be a great investment. Although it takes a while for dogs to get used to using it (it's like walking on a log in a panic for them), it works great, it folds in half for transport if you're going anywhere walk (manyโ€ฆ

Clumsy, bulky, strong.

I bought a 42 inch half ramp for my 70 pound Pit/Lab mix dog Max. I have a Subaru Impreza Wagon. I have to wedge it into the underside of the back seat with my foot to give it extra support. Only use this ramp if you are sure it will stay in place. If your dog falls off the first time, he will stop using it. It's a sturdy, well-built ramp, but cumbersome to store or use. It takes up a lot of space in the back of our station wagon, even when folded. I feel like I need to add adjustable aluminumโ€ฆ

Perfect size for Vans side door. Light weight, relatively quick to set up and very easy to use. (I have two dogs - a pom pom/terrier mix, a labrador/retriever mix) I used to have the larger size (triple) and bought this one because the other was too big, heavy and bulky. I am happy and really helping my older, larger dog who injured his leg by jumping in and out of the van by myself. Dogs don't like it either - now it has claw scratches on it. My larger dog doesn't like the texture at all andโ€ฆ
