I have a small dog (about 15 pounds) that has joint problems and can no longer get in and out of the car. She hates being picked up so this was the perfect solution. It took a while to get her up and down the ramp (and she's generally a smart dog), so I can see where some of you are having trouble. We ended up placing treats every few inches along the ramp to lure them up the ramp. We had to repeat this exercise for several days before she mastered it. We also found it convenient to use as a dog stand when folded. This makes getting into the car much easier, both inside and out (it doesn't need a ramp on days), so we often just leave it folded up next to the car.
