I've wanted to switch to CO2 injection for my planted tanks but the research and cost of a complete system was quite daunting . It was a good compromise. I had to replace the diffuser because it just released huge bubbles. But otherwise it works great. I was going to give it a few weeks before testing to make sure all the parts still work, but it works reliably and the magnet is very useful. It works for me on the same timer as the light. The pressure lasts for a week and a half to two, but I think that's simply because my tank is so big and there are so many damn plants in it. I also ran the air stone at night due to paranoia, but stopped doing so so the water wouldn't become as oxygenated once the CO2 kicked in. Emptying and filling the canister is very easy. Just pour the dirt into the sink and refill it. Then wait 10 minutes for the pressure to build up and turn it back on. That's great. If you are looking for a beginner CO2 system and want something to help you get there, this is a great product. I'm glad I found it.
