The case has a strong, durable feel and is perfect for protecting cables, cards and drives when travelling. I doubt (although I'm not sure because I haven't tested it) that the case is actually waterproof. The body material keeps water out, but the fabric zipper closes with a small gap (that you feel, not see) between the covers. It's water resistant, yes I think my poles will be fine in the rain, but it doesn't seem like floating products meant to protect IDs when swimming. Most slots are wide enough for most USB drives, but some are so narrow that even the slimmest, low-profile flash drives require a lot of pressure to fit.
