I like the idea of this product. And it works correctly. However, if there was a little more room to work inside, I would rate it five stars. You really have to use every microinch available to properly insert the wires and switch and fully close the case. I even considered cutting some of the insulation off the wire to make room. But I didn't. Security was more important to me than ease of installation. After much torment and twisting, I finally managed to install the switch and cables with the case fully closed. It was an ordinary two-wire ungrounded lamp cord of the usual size. Nothing special, no thick, no extra insulation. This switch is not designed for three-wire ground wire. When everyone is together, it works great. I use it on a lamp with a 3 position switch, but I only use a single voltage LED lamp. I have damaged LED bulbs in the past by accidentally leaving them at low voltage. With this switch I can always ensure the lamp is using full voltage by bypassing the three position lamp switch to turn the lamp on and off.
