Hand tools and spare screws are readily available wherever you can get replacement screws for the ones you dropped and can't find but need to finish something. Your mileage may vary, but it's better than drilling into a wall just to avoid hitting a stud a bit. by 1 trailing screw and worry about your TV falling on the floor or someone else.
